Vision Framework

New Beginnings’ Vision Framework

Since launching in 2000, NBLC has celebrated over 250 baptisms. We are on our third effort to plant daughter churches: 1) The Bridge is thriving in Washington; 2) Renew in O’Fallon taught us valuable lessons, even though closed; 3) All Nations appears to be thriving in U-City; and more plants are in the works! We continue to invest in global missions in Central America and Central Asia (Guatemala and Kyrgyzstan).

But the best is yet to come! We have adapted our methods (“principles remain the same, but tactics change”), but our Vision of church-multiplication has remained from day one. The following explains NBLC’s Vision Framework:

*The Vision Framework and each definition provided are derived from Will Mancini’s book, Church Unique: How Missional Leaders Cast Vision, Capture Culture, and Create Movement.

1. Our Mission | What are we doing?

New Beginnings exists to build relationships with Jesus Christ and one another: person-to-person, house-to-house, city-to-city, and nation-to nation. Or as our mission slogan simply states:
“To Know Christ and Make Christ Known!”

2. Our Values | Why are we doing it?

The motivation for what we do can be remembered as the 4Gs:
Groups (i.e. “Community” is the actual value)

3. Our Strategy | How are we doing it?

The following is a sentence with each word/phrase explaining our method:
NBLC trains households to share faith where they live.

4. Our Measures | When are we successful?

NBLC’s Cross-Driven Purposes provide the life marks we seek for every disciple:

5. Our Vision | Where is God taking us?

We see thousands of people connected to Jesus through Word and Sacrament at NBLC while catalyzing partnerships to plant churches that reach hundreds-of-thousands of people locally and globally.
